Who is this Crafty Guy in the Woods? Hi, my name is Mark and Crafty GIRL in the Woods is my lovely wife and crafty partner. Ever since I was knee-high to a radial arm saw, I’ve been creating fun things out of wood. Both my father and his father were great influences on me, teaching me that my creations are only limited by my imagination. Woodworking goes way back in my family: from a great, great uncle who had a workshop in Guide Rock, Nebraska in the 1800’s building wagons, to my grandfather and one of his brothers forming Abbott Wood Works in Science Hill, Kentucky in ~1946, it’s in our blood.

I LOVE wood! From the plainest Pine to the most luxurious 50-thousand year old Ancient Kauri, wood never ceases to amaze me. There’s not much I can’t make out of wood…if you can dream it, I’ll find a way to make
